The music need not necessarily be 'born' in England - that may sound daft,but English Ceilidh refers more to the style in which the music is played rather than its actual origins.Perhaps the examples below will explain a little better,especially if you compare them to other examples on the Scottish,Irish and Hoedown pages.And notice how they can also become progressively 'rockier',which some of the bands are (and some are not !).Have a look/listen on
