IRISH CEILI BANDS

In this section,we are looking at bands who specialise in Irish music for dances - and they may even include many of the well-known Irish songs as part of a night's entertainment between the dances.We have tried to explain better on our page http://www.jigsandreels.co.uk/dances/irish-ceili-bands.shtml just what we mean by Irish Ceilis and suggest that you have a quick look if you have any doubts about the type of band for your event.

Briefly,none of the bands are Irish 'set dance' bands (an altogether more specialist field).But some of the bands will play solely Irish music for the dances in a very traditional Irish style.Here's a couple of examples of what we mean
